thicker than blood : supporting self injury awareness

Well, I will be away for a time. Probably a long time. I'm currently in the midst of attempting recovery and part of that is trying to stay away from working and spending a lot of time on anything food/eating disorder related, because from an early age food and eating disorders were my escape from life... and I really don't even know what else I take an interest in. So, I shall be gone for awhile.

  • You can read about Anorexia and Bulimia in the media everywhere. In Magazines, in Newspapers. They will tell you how they work, they will tell you how to do it. They tell you that they're bad.

Never once do you hear why Eating Disorders are bad.

Now you get to hear why eating disorders are bad.

    Eating Disorders

Someone brought it to my attention that my site comes off as
anti-pro-ED. It's not, it's definately not - without Pro-anorexia/bulimia sites, I'd be dead. They're almost a life support system for people who already have an eating disorder, they let you know that you're not alone. And anorexia and bulimia are very lonely things. All I'm saying is... if you don't have an eating disorder, don't get one. They suck. All my site is, is a little road block saying "Turn around, please, if you can." - If you've already got an ED, and you don't want to recover, don't worry, I relate totally to you. I'm not against you.. I'm still anorexic, I'm still bulimic. I'm not anti-pro-ED. I suppose you can say I'm on your side... I just know how bad it can be, and I don't want people to have to go through that if I can help it.
