    Overview

    First Impressions

Whether your male or female you'd notice that Diana is one of the most beautiful people that you've ever met and that she moves with the poise and elegance that comes naturally from a royal upbringing. Do not make the mistake of thinking her a "mere" female or an object for your affection, as she is far above such thoughts. She is an ambassador and warrior of the gods and conducts herself as such. On the battlefield she is the image of a classical amazon, swift, powerful and graceful. In person she's friendly, truthful, honest and lacking any sort of subterfuge or subtext. Her accent will seem to be slightly Greek, but its a variant that hasn't been heard in thousands of years.

    Brief

Diana of Paradise Island is a unique individual created out of clay by her mother, Queen Hippolyta, and given life by the Olympian Gods. She won a competition to take a wounded airman back to the United States and was commissioned by the Gods to become their ambassador of peace in Man's world. To this end the Amazon's created a costume to commemorate a fallen warrior and sent Diana to the US where the media quickly dubbed her Wonder Woman. Since then she has brought her message of peace to the entire world and has often found it necessary to take up violence in its name. She has been tested by the trials of the Gods and men alike, but has never swayed in her devotion to change the world for the better.

    Recent Developments

For a time Diana ascended to Olympus to become the Goddess of Truth while her mother took over as Wonder Woman. However she decided to relinquish her powers and returned to the mortal world so that she could better help her friends and defend the innocent. She has weathered attacks by Devastation, Kronos, and has defended the pantheons of Earth against an attempt to conquer them all. More recently she has set her headquarters, the Wonderdome, up as an embassy in Washington and has redoubled her efforts and schemes to promote peace and learning among the disadvantaged.

    Abilities

Powers granted by the Gods: strength and power (Demeter), beauty and a loving heart (Aphrodite), wisdom (Athena), hunting ability and unity with the beasts (Artemis), sisterhood with fire (Hestia) and speed and the power of flight (Hermes). She is almost as powerful as Superman, but does not possess his degree of invulnerability and uses her speed to deflect attacks with her indestructible bracers. She has access to a number of weapons gifted by the Gods must most often used the Golden Lasso of Truth which was forged from one of the Girdles of Gaea.

    Tactics

Wonder Woman is a trained Amazon warrior and is highly skilled in ancient martial weapons and tactics. In the first instance she will try and avoid combat by reasoning with her attackers, but if she has no other option then she is willing take up arms. Her second option will then be to contain groups or individuals with her Lasso and using its powers to try and make them see sense. Against equal opponents will will use her bracers to deflect attacks while wading in with hand-to-hand combat. In the League she is second only to Batman in her martial training. The fierceness and ferocity that she displays on the battlefield often shocks her friends and Superman in particular has a problem understanding her methods.

    Relationships

    Connections

Wonder Woman's closest friends in the League are Superman and Aquaman. She first met Aquaman as a teenager on the shores of Paradise Island and she will gentle tease him when he gets too wound up. Diana's feelings for Superman are complex, in another worlds they may have been partners, but here and now they are each others closest allies and friends. She is also friends with most of the Leaguers (even is Kyle found is distracting to work with her at first) except Batman. She does not take kindly to his arrogant manner and voted for his expulsion during the Batman Protocols incident.

    Allies

Wonder Girl II (Cassandra Sandsmark - the daughter of a friend who was granted powers by Zeus), Troia (Donna Troy - recently discovered that Donna is actually a magical duplicate of Diana), Hippolyta (mother - Queen of the Amazons and the Golden Age Wonder Woman)

    Enemies

Devastation (her opposite number created by the second generation of Titans), Circe (ancient Greek sorceress and member of the Injustice Gang), Ares (the Olympian God of War - has repeatedly been defeated by Diana).
