It's to the Men and Women in blue those who battle the Drug Lords, guns, those who bring our children home when they've been abducted those that catch the murderers and molesters, the one who keep the Drunk drivers
off the roads so we can be safe.
It's to those who are on standby to lift that chopper off the ground at a moments notice in all kinds of weather.
It's to all the 911 dispatchers arcoss the land who lead these brave men and women into dangerous situations that they may never return from. You're the ones who get the frightened child on the line
and talks her through until backup can get there.
Beyond the sirens, the flicker of the flame, the roar of the engine and hiss of the mic live real people with hopes and dreams. Some are even Volunteers who don't get a penny
that willing give up their social lives to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Faceless men and women who are there to help and expect no recognition. I've heard it said time and time again "It's my job" and "I love it" Well I say to you Thank you.. A few other people who play an important role here are the spouses and the families of these men and women who sit and wait for them to come home not knowing if they ever will. To these people I say thank you for supporting those who do a fine job of taking care of all of us.
I wonder how many reading this realize
the physical, emotional, and mental drain of missed meals, lost sleep, and
forgone social activities, in addition to all the tragedy these eyes have viewed.
The bravery and heroism of all these professionals is worthy of
our respect and our remembering. So tonight when you lay down with the one you love
say a little prayer for all who go beyond the call of duty.
These are our Unsung Hero's. I stand and Salute you all!!!!!!!!!!!!
