Oasis Entertainment
There are many ways on the Oasis to sit back relax and be entertained by many of my favorite performers. My favorite way to unwind after a hectic work week is to listen to some great music. Agneta's Oasis is lucky to have a dynamic stable of performers ready to entertain you.

At the D-Squad Bar & Grill, the headline performer is Jim Croce. Jim's mix of rock, folk, and blues is sure to captivate the attention of any audience. His works are far greater than his breakthrough hits: "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Time in a Bottle." Some of my favorite tunes by Jim include "Operator", "Workin at the Car Wash Blues", "Rapid Roy (the Stock Car Boy)", "Top Hat Bar and Grille", and "You Don't Mess Around With Jim". If I could only go back in time some 30 years and sit in with Jim and friends Arlo Guthrie, James Taylor, and Jimmy Buffett, jamming at the Croce farm. That would be heaven. Even if you are not familiar with Jim's works, I suggest you listen, you might just like what you hear.

Now you all know who our second performer is. You may recognize him pitching Grape Nuts on TV, or recognize his songs from elevator Mu-zak, but don't be mistaken, he is not Gilligan. Our second performer is John, not Bob, Denver. I really enjoy listening to John's soft ballads when I want to relax. Nothing takes you to a drug-free state of relaxation like "Rocky Mountain High". But there is more to John Denver than his country boy / mountain man image. He is also a protector of the environment, as shown with his "Earth Songs" album. So if you want to enjoy a stress free afternoon, stop by Agneta's Oasis' Drexel Park Gardens, and let John Denver put a little sunshine on your shoulders.

If you want to jam late into the night, look no further than the Dungeon. The Dungeon is the official night club of the Oasis, and features the grooves of none other than Stevie Wonder. We love Stevie at the Oasis because of the way he makes the synthesizer sound good. Too many late 70's songs used the synthesizer because the artist couldn't play any real instrument. We know all about Stevie's musical skills, there is no doubt he is a musical genius. He used his exemplary talent to turn the synthesizer into a groove machine. You don't believe me...just take a listen some time to "Supersition." But Stevie's talents don't end there, personally, my favorite Stevie Wonder song is "Sir Duke," which pays homage to the great jazz forerunners such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, and Duke Ellington. You like reggae? Stevie also has the hit "Boogie On Reggae Woman," a song everyone should listen to. There are just so many songs I love: "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," "Living For The City," "My Cherie Amour," the list goes on and on. So do yourself a favor, enter our Dungeon. It's always a fun time.

Look, lets face it, there's a lot of local bands out there that suck today. You go to a bar, and are forced to hear some talentless blowhard sing Top 40 hits very badly. Well that's not the case at the Oasis Local Corner, featuring Erik Simonsen. Erik is a very talented singer/songwriter that tours around NY, NJ, and PA. I was first turned on to his music at a bar in Wildwood, NJ called Bullfeathers. Unlike other bar performers, his original works are just as good as any cover song you'll hear today. That's why I had to get him and his rocky-folky ballads to my Oasis.

New to the Oasis Carnival Room is featured performer Wyclef Jean. Can't really tell you much about this mysterious character other than he runs in a thick posse that is poised to take over the music scene both individually and as a whole. His mixture of rap, rock, and reggae always makes for an interesting listen.
