On this page, I want to place a few modifications to
the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition Rules
I think they improve my game, and you may consider
using them in your own.
I will often be updating the monster manual a fair
amount adding new creatures and replacing excisting ones with my own versions.
When using creatures in Lastaria you should consider
whether or not they are suited to a mediaeval European setting.
I don't use overly fantastical or alien creatures,
or creatures which were designed purely for the AD&D game worlds, such
as beholders or mindflayers etc. I do howether use creatures based on European
mythology and found in works
of fiction written by the likes of Tolkien.
An important note: you dont find dragons in Lastaria.
Well, not in the usual sense.
The dragons of Lastaria are the Essential Spirits
of the Garaleyen Countries. Wyrms, a kind of terribly powerful, wingless
flying snake, assume the traditional place of dragons in Lastaria. They
are intelligent, extremely rare and usually very old. Also, there are absolutely
NO Psionics in Lastaria!
