On 02/13/1999, a new anime started. Perhaps several companies hoped its rating. In the program, commercial films on goods related with the title were broadcast. The films included Asahi Corporation. The company went bankrupt. The founders were Ishibashi Family. Ishibashi Family also established "Bridgestone Tires." But when Asahi corporation went bankrupt, Bridgestone did not save the brother company.
Asahi Corporation is located at Fukuoka Prefecture. It had made all kind of shoes for many years. Several years ago, it made shoes for little girls. Sailor Moon pictures were printed in them. Of course, it was one of sponsors of TV-anime type Sailor Moon. Thereafter the program decreased its rating. At last Sailor Moon series ended. The achievement got worse.
Sailor Moon was published by Kodansha. This time the anime was based on a cartoon published by Shueisha.
Ribbon is a monthly magazine published by Shueisha. Ribbon promotes a series "Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne." Kamikaze means Divine Wind. Kaitou means Mysterious Thief. The title is Divine Wind Mysterious Thief Jeanne.
Formerly, as you know, Kaitou Saint Tail was broadcast. Ms Megumi Tachikawa drew a cartoon "Mysterious Thief Saint Tail." The anime was broadcast by Osaka Asahi Broadcasting Company for one year. The original cartoon was published by Kodansha. Ms Tomo Sakurai played the role of the heroine Meimi Haneoka. The anime was produced by Tokyo Movie (Kyokuichi Tokyo Movie).
Thereafter this cartoon "Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne." It was drawn by Ms Arina Tanemura. She is a very young cartoonist.
What? Other female cartoonists usually hide thier profiles in Japan. However Arina Tanemura shows her own profile at her cartoon book.

Marron Kusakabe (CV = Ms Houko Kuwashima, played the role of Yurika Misumaru from Martian Successor Nadesico) is a Japanese girl who goes to "Momo-Kuri Gakuen" senior high school. She is a first grade student. She is a member of its rhythmic gymnastics club. She lives by herself. Her parents have different jobs. They went abroad to different countries. They separate abroad. Especially her father is a famous architect who is good at planning theme parks.
Of course her family is very rich. So she lives in a sophisticated condominium. At the same condominium, her friend, Ms Miyako Toudaiji (CV = Ms Naoko Matsui, played the role of Katsumi Liqueur, Silent Moebius) lives. Her father is a police inspector. She lives with her parents. Inspector Toudaiji has four follower detectives, Haruta, Natsuta, Akita and Fuyuta.
Inspector Toudaiji (CV = Ms Shigeru Chiba) wants to arrest Mysterious Thief Jeanne. But he cannot arrest her yet. One day a newspaper reported Jeanne's face. Jeanne resembled Marron. (In fact, the true character of Jeanne was Marron.) Then Miyako got angry. She affirmed Marron to be innocent and began to join her father's detective team. She thinks Jeanne isn't Marron.
Formerly Miyako was bullied by others. Marron is good at sports and very strong. Marron has often helped and saved Miyako for years. To clear up doubts of Marron, Miyako had to arrest Jeanne.
On the other hand, a quasi-angel Fin Fish (CV = Ms Kumiko Nishihara, appeaed at Sakura Wars) appeared in front of Marron. What? The angel said, "Jeanne D'Arc was born again as you Marron. Marron can only use her holy power to defeat and seal Devils. Devils found how to diminish Divine power recently. The way is to implant imitation beauty in fine arts. Such fine arts can invade human beings to vanish all the people..."
When Marron uses the power of Jeanne D'Arc, Marron can change herself into Mysterious Thief Jeanne. She says, "Game start!!!" Jeanne's uniform is white Japanese-style Shinto shrine medium's. (Saint Tail's uniform was black magician's.) Her item is pink rosary. From the rosary, she picks up a pin. When she throws it to imitation beauty, she usually says, "Checkmate!!!" When she seals imitation beauty with the pin, the pin transforms into a white class piece.
One month later, her rival appeared. His name was Mr. Chiaki Nagoya (CV = Mr. Shinpo Chiba). His supporter was Black Angel "Access Time" (CV = Ms Akiko Yajima). Chiaki fought against Jeanne as Mysterious Thief Sindbad.
He entered her high school "Momo-kuri Gakuen." He became her classmate. His father is very young but a director of a large-scale private hospital, He knows Marron's father and understands relation between Marron and Chiaki.
Their teacher Ms Pakkyaramao Iagrashi (CV = Ms Naoko Matsui) also works as the coach of its rhythmic gymnastics club. She usually use a recorder (musical instrument) to blow up her students. She is very tall, young and beautiful. But her Japanese is rather strange. It is called "Zaamasu Kotoba."
As you know, about ten years ago, Naoko Matsui had already been very popular as Katsumi Liqueur. Of course she is older than I. At present, Houko Kuwashima is very popular. She is very young and plays the role of the heroine. Perhaps in the anime, Naoko Matsui supports the voice actors by playing the role of various bit players.
(As you know, Ms Omi Minami played the role of Ruri Hoshino from Martian Successor Nadesico. But in Mamotte Shugogetten, she played the role of Koichirou Endou, a bit player. In the same anime, she plays the role of a bit player Ken-En, a Chinese dragon type "Hoshigami (Star Gods)". It is said she supports voice actors' group there.)

Ms Arina Tanemura minds about Saint Tail. As you know, Saint Tail ended a few years ago. She does not need to mind the past work. Moreover this latest anime is produced by Toei Animation (former Toei Douga). It is mainly made by Sailor Moon Team. It is a generally digitalized anime. The team is good at hairs' flittering picture, which was often used at Sailor Moon series.
