Suki. Dakara Suki is one of CLAMP's newer and more obscure works, currently running in Asuka
Mystery DX magazine. It's certainly a mysterious tale, if set in what appears to be a more ordinary world
that many of CLAMP's other stories, and fairly slow-paced. I think of the story
and most of the characters as freakish, yet endearing, and have enjoyed the twists and turns of the storyline.
Nekoi does the drawing on this one, rather than Mokona, and the style is quite a departure
from typical CLAMP. [Although just what constitutes typical CLAMP these days would be difficult to pinpoint.]
For me at least, the spareness took some getting used to at first, but now I've come to
appreciate it as uniquely expressive and apt for the tone of the story.
Thanks to everybody who has written with feedback on the translations. I will continue to ganbaru!
