Most students in the ESL program live with their families, and the majority are from Sapporo. Some commute from as far away as Ebetsu, Otaru, or Chitose. Students from out-of-town are given help in finding reasonably-priced housing within walking distance of the school. There have been students from Asahikawa, Kuriyama, Obihiro, Hakkodate, Toya, and other towns and cities in Hokkaido.

Four co-eds (Ayako Tabusa, Mayu Kaneko, Sachiko Kurashina, and Yukiko Boh) form a chain.
