Rattling Diesels Bridge
A Tribute to A Friend and Loving Companion
I believe that I happend to find Diesel by sheer luck. It was my birthday and my Mom took me to the pet store,, and there she was in a big black bared metal cage looking out at me with a $10.00 sign plastered on the cage,, but what really caught my attention was her cool array of colors. When I poked my fingers through the bars she latched on to them with her tiny pink paws and started to lick them. All I had to do was look at my Mom and bat my eye lashes and she came home with me.
As she got settled into her new home I found out that she had a very LOUD purr for being such a small kitten. I dont know what made me think of a diesel truck,, but she really did sound like a rattling diesel truck engine when its idling. An that tiz how she earned  her name. Even as an adult she never grew into her unique loud purr. An as you may have guessed we called her Diesel for short.

She followed me around like a lost puppy dog just waiting for me to sit down so she could come jump up on my lap to take a nap. Course I had to sooth her to sleep by petting her. If I didnt pay attention to her while she was on my lap she would demand it by swatting or latching on to my fingers with her paws and licking me to death.

I miss her dearly. She was truly my favorite brat cat.
