A public company, owned by BRL-Hardy, founded 1853. Tintara dates from 1876 under the Hardy family’s control, and earlier than that under the control of others. It is the largest winery in the area, situated in the middle of the town of McLaren Vale, with a brandy bond at the front (Hardy’s Black Bottle Brandy) and extensive production areas and wood storage at rear. This large, attractive winery provides Hardy’s premium red and fortified wines. There is an extensive tasting area. Full function facilities catering for groups from 10 - 1000 for special private functions, self guided tours of the winery and superb award winning botanic gardens.
