BARBIE- BARBIE- BARBIE

Happy 6th Birthday to my neice. When I was a girl I hated dolls, but my neice loves them, and anything Pink. So this year she asked her mum, to make her a BARBIE party. EEEEecchhhh! Of all the things! I had to go Barbie shopping, to find a present for her. I asked her what she wanted, she said

Wow! As long as I bought her a 'Barbie' something she would be happy. I asked my mum to go halves with me in a gift. I went shopping with hubby in a large department store (Big W) and he has very little patience with Barbie, just like me, but in the middle of the toys isle with all the mothers with children shopping, my hubby says "Why don't they make an X-rated version of Barbie...That would make a nice gift!". All the mothers turned to stare, I wanted to disown him, but he looked so miserably bored, I forgave him. I ended up buying a Barbie Castle and I bought her some Barbie clothes for her doll. The faster I could get out of there the better. My sis asked me to pick up some pink plates for the party. I couldn't find any, but I found Barbie plates, so I bought them. Hubby put foot down when it came to Barbie wrapping paper though!

When I went for dinner to parents last night, mum showed me what she bought for my neice. Out of this bag she brought out, 2 Barbie nighties, 2 Barbie clothes, hubby and I just groaned. Whats worse, is that hubby and I are going to help set up the party on Sunday and hubby will be blowing up Barbie balloons (that will teach him!) and hanging up Barbie streamers. Enough Barbie!!!

I found some lost cd's so at present I am enjoying listening to them again. I'm supposed to be at the gym now, but I have a tummy ache and the guys from the roof have come back to do touch ups. The roof saga continues, with the boss trying to renegg on his offer to pay for the damage they caused whilst doing the roof. Where will it stop?

I'm still waiting for 'Amy' to have her kittens. She could have them any day now. It's such a wonderful feeling to put my hand on her tummy and feel the little kittens moving inside her. She purrs madly when I rub her tummy. 'Amy' follows me around the house and as soon as I stop moving she rolls onto her back and meowks for a tummy rub. Sometimes it can be annoying especially when I run to pick up the phone and she drops onto the floor infront of me, and I go tripping over her body :-(.

I have so much more to say, but I'll save it for later. The weather is so glorious, I think I will go and pick some lemons from my backyard lemon tree. The cherry blossoms are blooming and my roses are growing leaves (mind you they have aphids on them already, I need to treat them). I'm thinking of creating a herb garden this summer, sound good?

Hasta Luego my friends!

Sooshie
