My rape

I had to live through rape, violence and sorrow. Through these times of my life, I have realized the love I could have had, the way to act as a real human being. How to not let things go too fast and to go for my dreams and not what others think is right. Love what you love, let those other people go. You know the best for yourself. You're the only one who knows what's best for who you are. Going through rape, I have the most difficult time believing I can accept the fact that love has never been there for me. Tears fall down my face every now and then, and flashbacks will always remain. It will never get out of my mind, it will mark me for the rest of my life.
