| After a long night of delivering pups, we thought Leah was finally done for the night. But low and behold after 2 hours had gone by since her last pup, Gunner was born. Gunner is rightfully named by his new owner, Avril, since he has been a shot gun since he was born. You would think the last pup of the night would be tired after waiting so long to be born, but not Gunner he came out screaming and has not been quiet since. He is definately a "talker", I rememebr thinking back when the pups were first born that someone will have their handful with this one since he was ALWAYS making noise, and he was definately a fighter. Thankfully for both of us Avril came along, and I believe she has the skill to handle such an active intelligent boy. She wanted a boy who was a "talker", who had a mind of his own, and the spirit to conquer the world which is Gunner all the way. As the pups grew, I knew Green (Gunner) had to be the one for her, and once she met him she knew too which thrilled me to death despite my own fondness for this boy. Avril definately has big plans for Gunner, she is planning on training him in obedience and if luck would have it show in conformation if he should turn out. I can definately say Gunner has the attitude for show as well as the conformation since he is the spitting image of his sire, so he should grow into a very hansome young man and be loads of fun for his new owners. I am certain with Avril's guidance and knowledge Gunner will excel in whatever she has planed for them, and I can not wait to see the end result. |
