| Whoever said breeding dogs is easy, does not know the heartache of giving up puppies. My original plan was to keep a girl, but plans changed (or so I thought) so I kept back two girls to "watch" with the intentions of selling them off to show or pet homes. But then as fate would have it, Purple started to grow on me more and more that I could not see myslef selling her to a pet nor show home. Her sister, Blue (now Bonnie), grew onto me too. But Blue had this personality that she MUST be with people at all times, and when her new owners came along (stay at home mom, on a farm who wanted a companion to spend her days and nights with)...I knew that was the best place for her, so I let her go and thankfully her new owners keep me updated about her new life so I know I made the right decision for her. But Ava on the other hand was a different story. She just loved being here with the dogs, my kids, and I loved her here too. I just could not sell her. Trust me in my heart I knew that there will be nomore dogs here for a long time. But for our family, this is/will be the best choice. We love her and know she will follow her mother's footsteps in the show ring as well as in our family for life. |
