The Beach
I'd much rather have the heat than the snow! I don't know many people that enjoy the beach without the heat, with the exception of Rich, who is a member of the polar bear club. I think you have to be a little bit crazzzeeeeeeee to actually want to jump in the water in January. ;) I'm getting a chill just thinking about it! brrrrrrr!
Tuesday, our air conditioner system at work died again. (Talk about heat!) Most of us were prepared on Wednesday, wearing something comfortable. While I don't mind the heat, there is little to like about being in an enclosed building when the indoor temperatures are in the 80's. Fortunately, they were able to repair it by noon, and by mid afternoon I was bundled up in a sweater again.
John was craving banana bread last night, so I baked a loaf. I'd share the recipe, but I felt this one wasn't "banana-ee" enough. It called for one cup of mashed bananas. Does anyone have a good recipe that produces a rich banana flavor without ending up being too moist? (An old fashioned recipe that doesn't involve a breadmaker would be best, since I don't have one.)
