          Welcome to my kitchen!

It is my favorite place in my home.  I have a large country kitchen with the room for the whole family to join in and participate.  So come grab a cup of coffee and check out my recipes in the recipe book (always tested first in my own kitchen!) .

I was born and raised in the three state area of New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.  You might see that this is an influence on my recipe collection but is only a slight one I assure you.

I love to test out new recipes from other cultures and even create some of my own.  Cooking has been a passion of mine since I got married and realized I couldn't cook anything other than simple things like beans and cornbread (and fry everything else).(Southern cooking at it's best! But greasy!)

I literally have hundreds of cookbooks so hold on ... here are the starting recipes:

                                                                   Hints
Always rinse pots and pans soon after using.

Always add one teaspoon lemon juice to each quart of water when cooking rice to make it fluffier and whiter.

When serving punch drinks freeze some of fruit juice in a round bundt pan to float on top keeps punch from getting watery.
