Extra Info
Phantom Tetra are
a bit picky of their water conditions and prefer to breed when they are
the only species in the tank. They seem to breed in pairs and groups. The
reason I put a number four on my breeding scale is because they do
not breed very often at all. Arrange some plants at the back and
sides of the tank so they can mate. My Phantom Tetra do not like accessories
of any kind. So far I have only one fry from my fish but I still have another
pair which has not bred yet so I am hopping for more this time.
(UPDATE: That other pair
that I was talking about has just bred. I now have three new Red Phantom
Tetra fry.)
