I'd Give My Life For You
Listen to Lea Salonga, a member of the original London and Broadway casts, sing this song
When a child was born during the Vietnam War, there was a very high chance that it would be killed. So, Kim vowed to her son, Tam, that she wouldn't let anything happen to him - that she'd give her life for him. That's what this song is all about.
This song closes the first act and it's very moving - it makes you feel so sorry for all the children living in Saigon during the war.
