The
picture above shows the cenotaphs of the Taira clansmen in Kyoto in
2002. Somehow they had continuously been beaten by the Minamotos for
the last thousand of years, despite the rise of their offspring Oda
Nobunaga in 1560. Foreign fans can be found loitering at the Minamotos'
graveyard in Kamakura -- but the Tairas rarely got a symphatetic stranger
visiting them.
