The Band Biography Discography THE BAND
BIOGRAPHY Westlife was founded in 1999, the band firstly constituted of "Shane", "Mark", "Kian" and three other classmates of these lads. This bunch of boys was known as IOU in Ireland. once IOU got the chance to perform at the backtreet boys show held in Ireland. Boyzone's lead singer Ronan Keating along with the band manager Loui Walsh were also present in the show. when they heard to IOU they were so much impresed that they took "Shnae", "Mark", "Kian" from IOU and decided to form a new band. Ronan bacame the producer and Walsh the manager. Walsh wanted a boyband with five lads so he arranged for a auition, as a result of which "Bryan" and "Nicky" came in.The band was now to be named as "westside" but this name was already taken by an American boyband so it was named "Westlife".The boys started to dominate the world charts with their consicutive #1s.Soon the talent of these boys was known to all when they made a world record of getting maximum no. of #1s from one album i.e the debut album "Westlife" the boys got 8 #1s from this album and broke the record of "The Beatels". After the debu album came "Coat to Coast" which was another garnd succes for the boys and featured hit singles like "My love", "What makes a man", "Against all odds", "When you are looking like that", "i lay my love on you" etc. The latest album is out now which is known as "World of our own" and the lead track "World of our own" is on top of the charts with a hit single "Queen of my heart" and the third single "Bop Bop Baby" is to be released on 20th may.This is not the end keep checking in for more exciting news on Westlife.
