I have been talking with the agency that I was adopted through and there is a 250.00 fee for them to find my parents. I was adopted in 1958 at the age of 2 1/2 years old in North Carolina. I lived with my biological grandparents until I was adopted. Although I am not one of the people who has searched for my birth family, I do think there are those who hg need to do so I was lucky that my parents have always supported me, answered any questions for me, and have told me since day one, that if I ever felt the need to search, they would help. Blood does not make a parent, and some might think me strange t have no curosity or desire to find out otherwise. My only desire, is to know if a place in my dreams, is a place where I might have actually lived. Because of the "closed" information rule, I might never find out. Philip was born in 1967 in Lewiston, Maine. His adoption records are in York, Maine in the York County Probate Court. Our mother died in 1979. I didn't find out about him until 1988. Mom's name was Thelma Elizabeth Albright. I want desperately to find him have bvery much and just want my brother.

My birth mother is Dorothy Gibbs Bailey and she most likely lives in Wilmington Delaware, possibly on N. Franklin Street. I have been unable to contact her.
