It's been over a year, but the fire still burns brightly in the CFC camp.
early April Saw the 1st leg of the last ever Glasugate cup down at the Famous Vida ground, home of arch rivals Glasubalti. It was a great game, both teams defended very well, but struggled to make goal scoring chances, until the ever scoring Paulinho opened the scoring, to what would be a frustrating afternoon for the away side. Chances flew either way and some great advice from the ever perfect Andersson from the touch line, helped confused the Glasubalti team, with comments such as "go on, in, in half way line, reverse, put it" Andersson was superb in defence with some great through balls, Oliver ever impressive with some good saves, and a great return for Mexican hero Gazillas, who at times was frustrating but still gave 65%!! Chris Giles played his first Glasugate game, and was sturdy, with Pampers also being hott! Castlegate were 8-7 down deep into injury time where, Paulinho netted the equaliser.
The game finished 8-8, both teams can't wait for the final leg, but can Glasubalti make it 3 wins in three in the CFC's former fortress at Westgate to become the undisputed Glasugate Champions.
