CFC has confirmed two new signings, Already a fan favourite after a loan Anthony Amrstrong has agreed to play for the club on a full time basis and is to become the first CFC player to wear the coveted number 9 shirt since irish boy wonder Andy Gardner. A new face has also been confirmed in the form of defender Chris Giles, a CFC spokesman earlier said ''the club has knew about the player for sometime and he has bags of experience at 11 aside and we hope he makes the transition to 5 aside. Unfortunately in his first game against a St James Park allstars team he picked up a nasty ankle injury. He has pulled the ligaments in his ankle and wont be back in training for atleast another month.

Big Paul Peden earlier said ''After we lost the Glasugate Cup the lads we distraught and we did feel hard done by due to injuries etc but the excitement for the new season is tremendous. Unfortuately we no longer have Nick Wilson amongst us as he was lost in a terrible drive by shouting match. He hasnt been seen since august 1987. All things aside we are looking forward to playing and we also hope to make one more singing in the near future.
