For many people dolls are only for childhood and everything that relates to it, but foolishness for any one else!! To others, they are collector items sitting on a shelf to be viewed and treasured. But to many, dolls are a form of self expression using unlimited imagination and a variety of raw material, depending on the doll artist and her/his choice of media. Whatever the case, a doll is more than a physical entity! It represents the world of the unseen--emotions, thoughts, ideas, beliefs, hopes, dreams, healing, and on and on--all are wrapped up in that one little word...DOLL. |
