Zig-Zag**Zorba’s
Dance
ZIG-ZAG (social) is a jagged
movement which starts forward diagonally to wall then changes to a backward
diagonally centre direction and is repeated. A Zig-zag can either be danced
in closed position or in right and left parallel positions.
ZORBA'S DANCE:
This
dance, from the film 'Zorba the Greek', was originally called the 'Sirtaki'.
Zorba's dance is a great party mixer. It is danced to the music from the
film or to any of the many Greek records available.
Zorba is usually danced in lines of
one or more couples (as in Palais Glide) or can be danced in circles, with
or without holding.
Three suitable records are; EP Durium
DRS 54001 'Zorba's Dance'; LP Golden Guinea GGL 0354; and EP VRS 7002 Le
Trio Athenee. Instructions:
