"Most of this series of artwork was done at live performances at the Paleo Sun Jazz Lounge in Wilmington, North Carolina. The paintings were usually completed while the bands played, in about 3-4 hour sets. I had no idea what I was going to paint at my live shows; I would let the music tell me what colors, and brush strokes to use. Basically, what I paint is a very raw reflection of my surroundings. If I can evoke an emotional response from people with my art work, I am doing my job." Sadley, the Paleo Sun Jazz Lounge has closed down, but it will remain one of my favorite memories of my life.
