KBC Bird Rescue is lovingly yet aggressively dedicated to providing hope to abused, neglected, injured, handicapped, & sick birds. We also provide emergency medical needs to those who need it.  We also provide refuge and rest to retired breeder birds and work hard to reunite familes with their lost bird. We are dedicated in assisting people who for circumstances beyond there control can no longer keep their bird. Special care is given to each bird that comes thru to determine what their needs are both physically and psychologically before placing them into adoptive homes. WILD BIRD INFO We have found that during the spring and summer months there seems to be alot of baby birds from the wild who have fallen from there nests and need to be handraised so that they can be returned to the wild once they are old enough. Many times people find a baby on the ground assuming it has been abandoned. this is not always the case. We do all we can to help in this area also but the need is great and much caution must be exercised in handling these guys due to the fact that they can carry life threatening diseases to domestic birds and some diseases even to humans. Please understand that care of wildlife is not just a simple job of feed and release. There is much more to it and there are certain regulations especially concerning birds of prey. We do believe that these birds deserve the same quality of care and hope as a domestic bird and each wild bird is given as much care as a domestic bird but again we do stress PLEASE remember that they are wild and that they can and do carry diseases that can be harmful or fatal.
