12-18-04: *stretches* Ah! Ohaiyo! Been up all night, but for the first time in a while, it was completely voluntary ^^V. Looks like I managed to get this site up and running,and complete an entire d-sim in one night (played straight through, baby!!)Now off to eat breakfast with a friend at Waffle House. Why she insists on eating there is beyond me, but at least they have half decent coffee ^^ ~so I won't complain~ *frolicks off* 12-16-04: Whee! Man, I'm having a ball, the heat is finally off! I have one test left tomorrow, but it's an essay and I've already spent the earlier portion of this week stuffing my head with information- so from here on in it's just a matter of showing up, scribbling like a mad woman for 2 hours, and coming home V(^v^)V. I'm looking forward to a lot of things over the break, one of which being the culmination of the FDtL series. I don't know if I'll be able to get it all written, but I've finally gotten into the final hours of the story and am pumped up for a bunch of the scenes I've had floating around in my head since I started. I'm also finally jumping feet first back into FFXI- something that I had to put away for awhile because of my compulsive nature (jumping online for a 'quick game' and then staying there for a day and a half isn't really conducive to studying...). Plus, this entire semester, I kept getting books- books as presents, books as freebies...oodles of books that until now have just been piling up like some literary stonehenge thing around my bed. So I've got some reading to do ^^. Another thing on my to do list was fix this page because it's been irritating me. I hate the fact that my little cyber home was such a wreck for so long...I feel like an online redneck...geez all I needed was a big gif file of a truck on cinderblocks and a withered lawn... 08-17-04: Quizilla friggen ate my backgrounds 'n music 'n stuff. But I am way too lazy to do anything about it right now (except for changing the font color so that this is visable). Bleh. I don't really want to go back to school Thursday. Who starts school on a Thursday anyways?! I have Psychology and a Bio Lab and that's it. (mind you that the class that the lab is part of begins on Tues or something insane like that). Feh. Anyways- I can't believe I'm already up to Pt 29- I actually started writing it as part of 28, but it made the quiz around 8 pages in word, more if I'd kept going...and well, that seemed a bit long. I'm really happy (maybe happy's not the right word, but excited) about the next few chapters- I've been looking forward to writing them since I started! *runs off to enjoy her last few days of freedom* 07-27-04: Wow! I'm really thrilled- I initially got the idea in my head to write in quiz format as a personal challenge to give writing in the 2nd POV a try. As nervous as I was to begin writing in quiz format, it's been a great experience so far. The episodic style of individual quizzes is really helping with my pacing, even though I still get a little bogged down with my over-dialoging from time to time (*sheepish grin* what can I say? I loves me my word babies! I want to let them talk!). I'm insanely grateful to all the readers- you all have been amazing, and I've gotten some great feedback. Because of you, I've gotten into the Highest Rated List on several occasions, which is something I honestly never expected in a million years. I've also gotten to read some seriously high-quality quizzes (which is great, because lately, I've been too poor for books ^^)- and am now anxiously awaiting several next chapters since I've gotten hooked (hurry up guys! ^~). Well off to work on quiz 20 (although I'm a bit distracted by a '100 character questions' bit I'm working on for another character...100 questions is a lot of writing when you babble like me...). ~laterz~
07-19-04: Haha! Lookit me, I be writing in a blog! Whoo. I feel special. (You should see my real blog, one gigantic journal of random psycho babblings). Put up more of my series, finished the next part, and began a third but am waiting for more reads before posting. I think I may actually sleep for a few hours tonight...In other news, my idiot cat nearly barfed a hairball in my bathroom, but then thought better of it...it makes me nervous though...like there's a gross disaster just waiting to happen... | ||
Haha! I spend a lot of time (when I have it ^^) on Newgrounds, and am always finding awesome cartoons which I then compulsively pressure my friends to watch like I'm some sort of crack dealer. This makes it a little easier to share the joy of my findings ^~.
(As a note, most of the cartoons on Newgrounds have ratings next to the play button that let you know what potential badnesses might be in a film, so check that before playing anything...especially if you're in a public place. Anything off Newgrounds, I'll indicate if there's...err...questionable content.)
An Ordinary Conversation: Okay, if you watch nothing else on here, watch this. ~Please~ Do it for me. This reminds me so much of my best friend and I when we roomed together. The animation's pretty too ^^. o0(pretty) I think I've watched this like 50 times by now, and I still laugh like a hyena at 'I like bike chains'...and everything else. XD
Final Fantasy A+: This is even funnier if you've played the original Final Fantasies. It's all in Japanese, and very anime-ish ^^.
Ode to Cigarette: Those of you on Gaia may recognize the DCK gang. I love Mentos...
The Wrong Vagina: Another animation from the DCK gang- much funnier than the first one (it's their Valentine's Day Special). Worth a viewing...or two ^~.
Badger Badger Badger: If you haven't seen this yet...you should...it'll change your life, man ^o^. My friends and I do the Badger dance now...soon you will too...
Neurotically Yours (Foamy the Squirrel): This is one of my favorite series on the web. I highly recommend watching the episode '5 More Minutes' first. Why? Soft Outer Crust Series: XD. This is some really sick humor...which is exactly why I find it excruciatingly funny.
Salad Fingers: Eehee~ Don't ask my why I like this...I just do. It falls somewhere in between funny and disturbing for me...and yet I can't stop watching it...
Kenya: Cute and catchy.
Bonjour: This has a bit of shock value to it...I know I was surprised when my friend first IMed me the link 0.0...
PowerPuff Girls Doujinshi: I'm not a huge fan of the PowerPuff Girls...or of most of the CartoonCartoons on CN for that matter...but this Doujin is one of the most amazing works I've ever seen. Illustrated by Bleedman, each page is filled with full-color frame worthy pseudo-anime style action. He integrates characters from a bunch of series, including Zim and GiR. Seriously, do yourself a favor and check this out.
Mega Tokyo: Awesome, long running series (now in print, too! Check your local Borders ^^V) featuring memorable characters like Piro the not-quite manga-ka, Largo the l33t master, and Junpei the ninja. (Not to mention Ping, Miho, Seraphim and the rest of the cast). One of my favorites ^^.
8 Bit TheatreWhether or not you play the Final Fantasy series...this web comic is hilarious and frequently updated to boot!
Queen of Wands: Both touching and wildly entertaining, this story centers around a young woman and her social life.
Something Positive: The best thing in this series is Choo-Choo Bear the boneless cat!!! OMG I love Choo-Choo Bear!!!

The WebMonkey HTML Cheatsheet A lot of people (including me) get really frustated with quizilla when their formatting disappears and turns their quiz into a big blob of text. This is my favorite site for looking up simple code tags like line breaks and headers.
HongFire Anime Network A gigantic bittorrent site. This where I download a large portion of my anime, manga, and games. Just enter what you want in the handy search field, and more often then not, you'll find exactly what you're looking for within seconds. The downloads take awhile, but speed up the longer you leave the torrent open.
AnimeSupreme Bittorrents This is the site when it comes to really high quality downloads of full seasons of anime. Features both audio tracks and subtitle options. YYH, Kenshin, Bebop Chobits and more.
The Candybar Doll Maker! This is the most detailed doll maker I've ever seen! You can control just about everything, including head shape, eye shape, mouth shape, eyebrows, and noses. There are hundreds of choices for most of the clothing, plus moving backgrounds and fun accessories like a sleepy snot bubble, Pocky, and pets. ^^
Chain Letters Anonymous Okay, there are a couple of you out there (you know who you are), that insist on sending me chain letters. This is where they eventually end up. All you do is copy and paste the text of the message, hit enter- and *BOOM* it's sent to a bunch of mailboxes who don't mind taking the fall for breaking the chain.
Urban Legends Reference Page Ever hear a story about a friend of a friend, or some rumor about a crazy killer wandering around doing various unspeakable acts against humanity? Ever wonder if they were true? This site does the research behind major Urban Legends and tells you whether they're verifiable or total bull (it has a section on e-mail scams too).
Gaia OnlineAn online role-playing community. Anything from casual chat to full out campaign style RPG's. An awesome (and gigantic) group of folks. Never a dull moment ^^.
Anime Lyrics(.com)Oodles of lyrics to various anime, video games, and J-Pop. Great if you're into making your own karaoke ^^V.
AA-EVP Website for The America Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena. Have you seen the ads for the new movie "White Noise"? This is the phenomena that started it all. This site has all sorts of articles on the hows and whys and ways to attempt to record your own EVP (not something I'm really interested in doing...the thought of it gives me chills. But interesting stuff, especially if you dig the paranormal.
Allakhazam's Final Fantasy Page Pretty self explanatory- when I had a lot of free time to kill during the summer, I dove into FFXI pretty hard. This site was really helpful when I was trying to figure out just what I wanted to be.
FFXI FAQs and Guides Again- I'm a nerd. Yep, I'm pretty well aware. I'm not an Uber-Nerd though, so I suppose I should count my blessings ^~.
