"Marine Debriefing"

Pravat and Serenna entered the small office of the Marine Commanding Officer. There was nothing special about it and as the Human/Romulan hybrid noticed, it was void of anything personal. It was quite Spartan and if it hadn't been for the half a dozen PADD scattered across the desk, one might thing that it wasn't occupied.
"Please, have a seat, Commander," Prav said as he took his seat behind the desk. He watched the ships first officer settle herself down into the chair but judging by the rigidness of her body she was all business.
"It was basically an in-and-out mission," he began. "The beam in was flawless and we met no resistance initially. Sergeant Bath'kt'va took Bastet squad and set up a security perimeter and located the computer core. I don't think they were aware of our presence right away as the first contact we had with the Cardies seemed to come as a surprise to them."

Setting: CARDASSIAN GALOR-CLASS SHIP

It was strange that they hadn't had a welcoming party when they transported in but he assumed that the ANUBIS was keeping then well occupied. The assault squad cleared several corridors before engaging any of the Cardassians but once they realized they had company it didn't take long before they had the company they so hoped for.
The assault squad kept the hostiles occupied while Pravat and the command squad moved forward toward the computer core. Hoping not to get left out of any action, they weren't disappointed to find the core was heavily guarded. The initial firefight didn't last very long and the squad moved past the Cardassian bodies that littered the floor and into the computer core facility. There were several Cardies inside but the marines made short work out of them and quickly secured the room. Sobek squad had taken position outside the room and was quickly engaged in another firefight.
Corporal Yang, who by rights should have been an engineer quickly established the uplink with the Cardassian computer and began the data dump. It was difficult for the marines inside the room to listen to and not participate in the action they could hear going on outside.
He had made contact with Captain Rikar and informed her that they could be out in 10 – 15 minutes tops. The weapons fire outside was increasing and he could hear the growling voice of his second in command Tes’Karka which told him that Ammut had joined Sobek in the fight.
"How are we coming Yang?" Prav yelled over to the young Chinese corporal.
"Just about there," she yelled back, a grin on her face.
Prav knew the look and knew she was up to something. "Just get the data and lets get out there, they are having a lot more fun then we are."
Several minutes later Yang was standing next to her CO. "All done," she said handing him the equipment she had used to download the data onto.
"Why do I have a feeling that's not all you did?" he said, securing the data in a pouch on his uniform.
"Well, I may have left a little surprise for them," she said as Prav's eyebrows lifted. "Let's just say, it's going to take them a long time to get control over their ship again."
He patted her on the back and indicated to the rest of the squad they were ready to move out.

"And here were are, back safe and sound just like the Captain ordered," he said with a smile.
Serenna nodded and began to stand up. "Good, I will expect a report by morning," she said as she turned for the door. She paused a moment and the turned back to him. "Good work Lieutenant."
Before she could turn to leave, Prav spoke. "Commander, if you see Lieutenant Dawson, tell him we didn't leave one Cardassian standing."
She nodded and then turned and left.
