Setting: USS HATHOR, Sickbay
Stardate: 60331.0930

Lea stood near the doorway of her sickbay looking it. Since the departure of the Oltharian, the room had felt *larger*. The giant had not moved our touched the walls, but yet Lea felt as if the space between them had somehow increased.

"Susan would think me nuts," Lea said to no one in particular. The CMO had been smart enough to realise that this had been an optical illusion. Elan, with his immense size which had barely been able to fit on the biobed had made the room feel smaller. Now that the giant Oltharian had left, the feeling of suddenly having more space had not been real. Yet Lea could not stop looking at the room and thinking that it had not been as bad as she had earlier thought. If the CMO had been able to treat someone as large as Elan, surely anyone else on the HATHOR would be a piece of cake.

With the idea that the Oltharian had in a weird way done has he had promised: to make Sickbay larger, Lea returned to her duties. Maybe working in such a small environment would not be so bad, and maybe even prove to be an enlightening experience. Lea figured that being on the HATHOR would be like a Doctor going to a low-tech world to help the natives. In addition of getting something from the experience itself, the CMO would discover a greater appreciation of what she had. These included a fully equipped and spacious Sickbay onboard of the ANUBIS.

Lea turned to face the door when she heard it hissing open. Another advantage of working in such a small room had been that no one could sneak up on her. Not that the CMO expected anyone to do that.

"Maya is not here," Lea said coldly as she looked at Pravat for a moment and returned to her sorting the medical equipment. "She came in earlier to see how élan was doing, but by now she must be back on the bridge. Heck, at the size of the HATHOR, she probably reached the bridge the moment that door closed."

"I am not searching for Maya," the Marine said. "I was looking for you."

"For me?" Lea asked, looking the Enaran over to see if there had been an apparent medical reason for his visit. "Did someone else get hurt?" The CMO added, not having seen any evidence of the Marine being injured.

Pravat growled to himself. There had always been something about the CMO that just didn't sit right with him. Since the first time he had met her on NEW ALEXANDRIA, the Marine had felt Lea's general dislike of marines. He would have loved nothing more than to get to the bottom of this, but now was not the time. Pravat had more important things to take care of, like getting everything ready for his plan. "No one else got hurt Doctor," the Enaran replied. "I just wanted to get an idea of the layout of our Sickbay."

"Why?" Lea asked without as much as raising her head, "Expecting we will run into a war zone anytime soon?"

"Nothing so drastic," Pravat replied. He had not expected it, but Lea had somehow managed to get under his skin. The first rule of setting up a secret plan was to not give any indication of it even being in the works. The marine had failed this by what he had replied. Luckily though, the CMO appeared to not have caught the meaning of his words. "There is not all that much to do at the moment, so I thought I would get better acquainted with the ship. Knowing its internal layout can only be a good thing."

"Well, what you see is what I've got," Lea said showing off the one room sickbay. "If you would like, I could give you a tour of the equipment cabinets. I would show you where the mekit is but Liz took it with her."

Pravat ignored the CMO. He had already obtained what he had been looking for, so he left without saying another word. By the time Lea had turned back to look at the Enaran, he had left, returning to whatever he had been up to.

With all of her straightening up done, Lea glanced at the entirety of the room once again and debated on what to do next. Without a medical laboratory, at least none to really speak of, or an office the CMO had little else to do. So after a few minutes of thinking about what she could and should do, Lea decided to go and pay David a visit. Officially the CMO could claim to be checking up on Elan. Unofficially, Lea could spend some time with David without either of their lives hanging in the balance.
