Setting: USS HATHOR, Bridge
Stardate: 60339.2115
On the bridge of the USS HATHOR, Uxtar, Derek, and
Carft we’re testing out some piloting manoeuvres to
avoid detection under the cloak.
Derek was taking some readings from his control panel,
"There sensors have not detected us *yet*," the FCO
said smiling and looking excited.
"I will activate the cloaking device," Carft announced as he pressed a few controls causing the computer to beep. A split second later, the Ops Officer continued with, "Cloaking device activated and stable," Ensign Kea said sounding glad that he didn’t stay in his quarters.
"Course laid in, here we go," Uxtar said.
"I have disguise our ion trail with a warp trail from a ship that past here a few days ago," Carft said feeling a bit unsure.
"Well Carft lets see if this works," said Uxtar sounding excited. The Hirogen tried not to order any course changes as he used a few of his hunting instincts manoeuvres and got them undetected through.
"Few, that's a relief ," Derek said concerned.
"Have any other ideas of disguising about those visual disturbances?" The Hirogen asked happy about that the fake old warp trail trick had worked.
"What I know about cloaking devices is that there are more visual disturbances if we get in parts of space with lots of electrical interferences." Carft answered not too happy.
"Computer run a simulation with three Cardassian GALOR-Class cruisers and let there be electrical interference in the surrounding sector," Derek said.
"Here we go again," the Hirogen said excited.
"Cloak is still on," Carft answered.
"Ion trail disguised we're ready," Carft said looking up from his console
"Course laid in," Derek said as he concentrated on flying the HATHOR.
"There charging weapons they fired brace for impact," Uxtar shouted.
"Shields are down," Derek reported sounding nervous.
"Cloak is offline, rerouting auxiliary power" Carft said trying to concentrate despite the chaos around him.
"Shields have been restored," Derek shouted from the FCO's station just a loud explosion rocked the bridge.
"Shield down to 50% lets try attack pattern Beta-four-seven, it might get us out this trouble" Derek said.
"Lets try it," the Hirogen Chief of Security said raising his head.
The ship began making a few strange manoeuvres Carft and Uxtar had to hold on tight the ship returned fire straight at the bridge.
"Yeah nice shot Uxtar just like old times," Derek said referring to their earlier simulations on the DRAGONSEYE.
"I think we have to work on that one," the Hirogen grinned.
"Definitely." Carft commented.
"Shall we do it again?" Uxtar asked excited.
"NO!!!" Both Derek and Carft shouted in unison as
they all laughed about it afterwards.
