Stardate: Eternity
It was like being in a constant state of euphoria, beyond orgasmic and past poetry's ability to describe. There was nothing lifeless about death, she felt more alive in this eternity than she had in the few moments of life she had experienced. She longed for her wife, and for her child, but she felt no sorrow, no pain, in their loss. She knew someday, sooner than she would know, they would be here, and she would wait.

(Excerpt from Sabrina's Post: "Hopes")
Hope was all that the young woman had left… hope that time would be on their side… hope that the sensors of the orbital defence platforms would be sufficient… hope that the transporter would be able to reconstitute Enaii… and hope that the redheaded woman's love for her life-mate would be enough to bring her back from wherever her soul had ventured to.
"We have it! Pattern lock at 100%!" the ExO announced almost jumping over her station at the back of the bridge for a second time on less than an hour.
The one word command seemed to become lodged in the young woman's throat as her hopes came in full frontal conflict with her fears. If this worked, Enaii would be brought back to them and life could resumed as it had meant to be… but if it failed, all hope would be lost and the ANUBIS' CO would have to accept the finality of the situation. Hope against fears… which would win?
"Energize."

It crashed around her like the tide upon the shore, dark, final, apocalyptic. She fought it, desperate to stay, clinging to her death like a babe to the breast, she tried in vain to deny the pull that carried her back into the darkness. The void that had been her prison once again engulfed her, delivering her back beyond the non-corporeal, into the flesh shell that had once contained her. The emptiness was astounding, the euphoria fading quickly. She heard voices, but could not understand them. She did not care to open her eyes, to see what she knew, to acknowledge the pained existence she had returned to.
She felt them carry her, their hands upon her skin, the solidity of it all. Still, she did not move, she had no desire to rediscover this body, this state of being. Somehow, she had gone beyond, to a place of wonder, of happiness and peace, some cosmic mistake had granted her an afterlife of joy, and it had been stripped from her. The immense sadness was beyond crushing, she wanted to stop breathing, but as she tried, something prevented her attempt.
The voices sounded upset, confused, she didn't care. They had done this to her…

"I don't understand it," Ensign Halliwell said, completely perplexed as she stood over the physically healthy form of the Intelligence Liaison Officer. "She should be awake and interactive, but she's clearly comatose."
=/\= Tell me what you need, =/\= the Captain ordered over the comm channel.
Elizabeth paused, taking a deep breath. "I just don't have enough experience for this, Doctor Summers may not have any better results, but she'd probably have a better chance of bringing her into consciousness."
=/\= Then Doctor Summers is what you will get. Keep her safe until we can rendezvous with the HATHOR. =/\=
Feeling completely defeated, the newly graduated Doctor nodded to no one in particular. "Understood," she replied, before adding in the lowest possible whisper, "I'll try my best."
