What made me want to race is that the sport is fast and I like fast sports. When I started racing I met alot of friends at the track like Samantha, Tabitha, Sarah, Kayla, Leigh Ann, Felicia, Kaitlyn and Tyler. I like racing because it is a very fun sport I get to spend lots of time with my whole family. I think it's an excellent sport for boys and girls.      When I told my friends at school that I drag race they were amazed and surprised about it. One day I brought in to school a t-shirt with a picture of me driving my car from the State Finals, they all thought it was very cool they kept asking to let them see it again. So many of them said they wish their parents would let them race.      In the off season I don't get to see my track friends much at all but I still keep in touch with them by either phone or email. ME AND MY FRIENDS AT THE TRACK (Click for pics) When I'm not racing.....   I like to do alot of things, I love dancing and jumping rope. In school I always look forward to Track and Field. In the off season I help my Dad work on my car doing all kinds of winter work, prepping the car for race season. My Dad showed me how to take the motor off my car. When we bought my car it was my job to remove the old graphics and prep it for the new ones. I like helping my Dad work on my car cause that's what makes our race team a team, teamwork!   I like to ride my bike, shopping with my mom and going out to eat with my family. I love to read, it's cool to create your own pictures in your head. I like to play ball with my brother and play in the snow with him, he's 6 now. I really enjoy flying kites in the springtime and jumping on our trampoline in the summertime. I like helping out around the house because if I didn't it would be a lot harder for my Mom without me around.   In the summer of 2005 & 2006 I got to try Soap Box Derby Racing, it was really fun, not as fast as Drag Racing, but it was really cool. I'd like to try it again someday.   One of my favorite things I like to do at my house around the summer is riding Four-Wheelers. When I was 6 my Dad and I would go out in our field and ride almost every day and it was AWESOME! Today now that I'm older my Dad and I don't ride as much because he has to work and do other things that are definately more important than riding Four-Wheelers. We still have alot of fun riding them now whenever we get a chance.
			I remember one day my Dad, brother and I all went back in the field to ride the day after a rain storm, the track was very muddy! It was so much fun getting soaked and covered in mud. I got mine stuck a couple of times, but my Dad pulled it out. I drove myself but my brother rode with my Dad cause he's too young to drive by himself. I'm sure he will be driving my Four-Wheeler before long. After our mud fest we came up to the house and it was time to hose ourselves off then the Four-Wheelers. They were really bad, it took a long time to get them all clean, that was an awesome day!                 - Keara Dixon (Age 9)
