DJ Wittzy mentions the term Old Skool in his music section. What exactly does he mean by this?
Old Skool is the period from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s during which dance music really took off. The first significant dance record to storm the charts was probably M/A/R/R/S and "Pump Up The Volume" which hit the No1 spot in September 1987. The first proper "dance" songs were house records, and during 1989, the UK was introduced to Italian house, a famous example being Black Box - "Ride On Time" which was No1 for the best part of 6 weeks during the Autumn of that year.The end of the 80s also saw Madchester (Manchester), birthplace of legendary techno acts such as 808 State, Bizarre Inc and Altern8, and the fusing of dance/indie music, including bands like the Happy Mondays. During the 1991/92 period, dance music took on a more hardcore feel to it, with many rave anthems flying into the UK top 40, although by the beginning of 1994, rave culture had died out. This was partly due to the Government, who threatened to ban illegal raves in unsafe warehouses. During these raves, many people would take ecstasy to enhance the adrenaline flow and help them dance for longer, and certain infamous dance records such as D Mob - "We Call It Acieed" (No3 October 1988) and Shamen - "Ebeneezer Goode" (No1 September 1992) got into trouble because of the suggestion of drugs in the lyrics. Unfortunately, since then dance music has never hit the heights that it did 15 or so years ago...

Fascinating question. Although all their songs and albums are great, I recommend the "best of" album entitled 808:88:98 (which if you're bloody stupid means: 1988-1998 - Ten years of 808 State). I've got it - its the best album I own.

No, although it is a seminal dance record and was a huge hit back in the day - recognised by everyone - but there are millions of other superb dance records which don't get the same recognition. My favourite record changes from week to week....

Well in actual fact, I did them myself on Paint - yes they wasted several hours of my life...... but I'm sure I would have wasted them in another way.....

Well, Collett would like to think so - he won't change his mind, but there is no truth in that.

Well if you thought Notty was a sensible, respectable young man you are completely mistaken, he is quite the opposite. And yes he did go home in an ambulance, because he was so stupid and got pissed during the college ball.

Hmmm, good question. I have always wondered that myself. No-one "normal" knows what that child is ever talking about - he's in a world of his own. Last year, during the making of his shitty website, he came up with that ridiculous name of a creature (during one of our German lessons), and then was stupid enough to draw a picture of it and name his site after it. Anyway, I encourage of all you sane people out there to, in the extremely unlikely event of seeing an Onion-wotsit...-fish, DESTROY THE BASTARDS!!! (A helpful diagram of what you should do in this scenario is below)
