|Animé vs. Manga|

In Dragon Ball, the animé follows the story line of the manga, with some exceptions. Sometimes it’s not very affective, but sometimes, it sucks... Here are the major differences between the two.

  • The Garlic Jr. Saga:

This story, that was put between the explosion of Namek, and the return of Son Goku from Yardratt in the animé, wasn’t made by Akira Toriyama, and don’t exist in the manga. In my opinion (and many others too), it really sucks. I didn’t even understood the story line, the villain sucks... I’ve watched it once and I regretted it.

  • Gohan’s age:

In the manga, Gohan is 5 years old at the beginning of DBZ, but in the animé, he’s 4 and a half. Doesn’t change anything, but it’s still a difference between the two.

  • Dragon Ball GT:

Duh! This third season doesn’t even exist in the manga, and Akira Toriyama has nothing to do about it. To know more about it, go to my DBGT page.
