| We have many different "chat channels" that you can use when in the game. Please keep ALL chats in the right channels. Below is a list of all the channels, how to use them, and rules for each of them. All channels will show up in the bottom left cornor of your screen, Showing what channel, who it was that talked, and what was said | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Newbie Chat: Enter / exit this channel from your level window [type .level to open the window] . Type .newbie <text> in game to send a message to all that is on that channel. Text will show up as *Info* <chars name> <text> in some cases there will be [newbie-helper] between the name and the text. These are special people that have volentered to help out new players get use to things here. Also there will be [STAFF] between the name and the text to identify GM's and Admins. This channel is for in game info and help ONLY. Normal everyday chat and OOC talk is not allowed on this channel. Auction Chat: Enter and exit this channel also from the level menu. To use it type .auc <text> This channel is for selliing / buying things in a auction only. Please note that if you message you are selling something, and people bet on it, IT IS SOLD. Reports of players not going through with the sale will get you baned from this channel. So if you say you are selling a vanq long sword, and do not put in a min bidding price, and someone bets 1 gold. And thats was the only bet........you just sold it for one gold. OOC Chat Enter / Exit this channel by typing .chat. To use it type .ooc <text>. You can mute someone if they are being to much of a pain, off of the .chat window. This is the ONLY place OOC talk is allowed other then the "chat room" [see below]. With the exception of talking to staff Gossop Chat Also from the .chat menu. Type .gossip <text> to use it. Please note that muted players from OOC chat will also be muted here. This is for all in game IN CHAR chat, in the case where the one you are talking to is not in the same area as you. Guild Chat Always on, as long as you are in a guild. Please check out the guild link to the left for more info on this channel Chat Room For a list of commands, type .chathelp. This is a special channel for only level 10's and up. In char and OOC chat is allowed in here. |
