RECOVERY |
I see a ray of hope today... My life's no longer shades of gray, For in life's game that people play I think that I might win today. Off in the distance I can see The person that I used to be, She's coming closer, cautiously. Her final step is up to me. Am I prepared to take her in? Let happy times and laughter win? To face my problems with a grin? To hold up proudly eyes and chin? Today I think she'll have to wait. The pain is still too deep...too great. I hope tomorrow's not too late, But only God knows what's my fate. Copyright by Barbara A. Duits 2000 |
