Rebel Dementia: An Acquired Mental Disease Characterized By Mental Disorder, Disturbed Behavior And Racial Phobia Indicative Of Possible Brain Damage

By Gen. Ulysses S. Grant
(aka Dr. Grant)

One of the most peculiar types of mental diseases I've witnessed is rebel dementia. This disorder is characterized by: rejection of reality; a fascination with death, dying, killing and playing Civil War games; worship of ancestors who were killed, wounded or maimed in horrific Civil War battles; racial hatred, prejudice and bigotry often associated with sexual disfunction and/or impotence projected toward black people who are blamed for all personal inadequacies and failures; and most curiously, a deep seated, subconscious jealousy of the black man's penis which is imagined to be humorous in size and potency! Extreme cases suggest a possible brain damage perhaps associated with alcohol abuse, drug abuse, child abuse, abusive incestuous activity or perhaps lead poisoning from inhalation of black powder fumes and gun cleaning fluids.

Frequently those who suffer from rebel dementia are not aware that they have a mental disease. As is true with many mental disorders, the patient is often unable to recognize his symptoms as illness and may make all sorts of excuses to deny being mentally ill. This is a characteristic of rebel dementia that is almost universal among its victims: they simply can not see their own madness!

A study of those who suffer rebel dementia has revealed an obsession with death and dying. Hypnosis combined with dream analysis and interpretation reveals that many patients dream about dying horrible deaths during the American Civil War. They appear to be possessed by the spirit of their ancestors, as if their minds and bodies have been taken over by ghosts of dead Civil War soldiers. This possession is often manifested when the patients dress up in Civil War era uniforms and reenact Civil War battles in which they often suffer horrendous injury or a violent and painful death, such s being gutted with a sword or bayonet.

Many victims of rebel dementia find their only solice comes from being with others who suffer their same illness. Their illness is like an addiction, yet instead of having its cure in group meetings of peers where the patients confess their addiction and begin to abstain from the addictive behavior, association with peers only results in pressure to reinforce their behavior. The consequences can be total loss of self, disassociation with normal society, losing touch with reality and gradual degradation of self esteem to the point that some patients end up committing suicide, putting a bullet in their own heads -- not bullets from modern firearms, but bullets from replicas of Civil War weapons.

Although their is no know cure for rebel dementia, abstinence therapy is indicated to reduce the severity of the ailment. Patients must pledge to disassociate themselves from everything related to the Civil War. They must bury and burn all Confederate flags and uniforms. They must destroy all black powder firearms and Civil War memorabilia. They must surrender to the Union, pledge their allegiance to the United States of America, and swear to God that they will never take up arms against the Union, whether real or imagined.

Because rebel dementia is a mental disease it may be passed from one person to another via association, indoctrination and role playing. It is therefore very important that patients under psychiatric care for this illness not be allowed to associate with one another until they have pledged their allegiance to the Union. Then cure may be approached by displaying an American flag prominently in their homes, repeating the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America sever times each day, and in extreme cases, adopting a black child and rearing it as a Moslem.
