Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of Kim the critical critic. I’m really excited

about this month’s review because it happens to be on one of my favorite subjects; Duran Duran

music videos. Ah yes, those fine wild boys on video! This issues guest critics include Bernadette, a

funk and seventies music freak, Christi, simply a music freak period, and Torrey, a fellow Duranie

who first became hooked on the band with these videos I am proud to say. Of course I will also be

reviewing. Our grading process is simple. We will give an over all grade followed by artistic factor,

who’s the best looking in the video, style and fashion sense, and general comments we might have

about the video. At the end we will highlight the top three videos: one for the best over all, one for

the best story line and one for the cuteness factor. (Shallow but hey! What’s wrong with a little

shallowness now and then?) Bear with us, this could get a little wild!

*Note to dedicated Duranies: The Chauffer and Girls on Film have been omitted from our little review

for two reasons. First the reviewers did not really feel like watching a bunch of naked women

running around and two this review originally appeared in a Girl Scout magazine. We have to keep it

clean and Wild Boys was a stretch. We let it slide however. ; )

Quick Review for our non-Duranies out there, above you is the band Duran Duran. Left to Right top: Simon Le Bon, singer, John Taylor, bassist, Roger Taylor, drummer. Bottom left to right: Andy Taylor, Electric guitar, Nick Rhodes, synthesist. I'd guess this picture is circa 1983-4. None of the Taylors are related.
