Watsu, my Love
Watsu is profound and personal.
It is immensely pleasurable and deeply healing.
It is sensual, sensuous, provocative and evocative.
It is serious and playful, technical and intuitive, mindful and
mindless.
It is elemental. It is earth, fire, air and water.
It nurtures, stretches, prods and extends.
It gently frees the body, and thereby the spirit.
It opens the heart and quiets the mind.
It is easy and simple, difficult and complex.
For the giver and the receiver, it is the ultimate release and surrender.
Watsu alters people. It transforms them.
It takes them from who they think they are to who they may become.
Ever so gently. Ever so tenderly.
It is a way to express the love we are so afraid or unable
to express to our families, our friends, to strangers.
It is a trust, a bond.
It is a lovely passageway from the path of fear
through the door of judgement that carries two people, momentarily,
into the golden sea of light
and gives them both an experience of home,
a glimpse of heaven.
