| Whammy with TNT: Probably the most famous one of all the Whammies seen. This Whammy has TNT set up near your score. He says "Heeheehee, this oughta do it!" He then sets the TNT off. Too bad he was a little too close. A charred Whammy sighs "Oh, no... oooohhhhh". Whammy on Pogo Stick: Probably the creepiest one. Whammy bounces around on a pogo stick, laughing very creepily, before disappearing in the WHAM! smoke. The first one ever used on the real show. Whammy on Fang: The debut of Whammy's faithful canine companion, Fang. Whammy walks Fang, shouting "Get 'em, get 'em Fang, get 'em, yes, sic' 'em! Hehehehehehehe!" Whammy Baseball Player: This Whammy, dressed as a batter, shouts to the offscreen pitcher "Gimme everything you've got! I'll knock it out of the park!" Occasionally, you heard an extended version: "Gimme a fastball, gimme a knuckleball, gimme a screwball! Gimme everything you've got! l'll knock it out of the park!" In both occasions, the ball comes extremely fast and hits Whammy in the stomach, making him fly backwards for miles, I'm sure. Whammy fortune teller: A gong is heard, and Whammy is seen in front of a crystal ball with a dollar sign crossed out in the same manner as the "Ghostbusters" logo. Whammy then tells the player's fortune: "It's coming to me now! I see financial disaster in your future!" He then disappears in a normal puff of smoke. Whammy on Jaws: As the "Jaws" theme is played, Whammy is riding on the shark, wearing a scuba mask, and laughing while Jaws chomps away on your score. Whammy Magician: A cool one. A magician Whammy covers up your score with a purple cloth. The score is erased while it is covered, so when Whammy pulls the cloth away, there's nothing there. Whammy disappears in a puff of smoke, laughing. The impeccable timing of the erasing never ceases to amaze me. Whammy with Credit Card: Mocking an old American Express commercial, this Whammy says "Hello, do you know me?" "WHAMMY" then prints out on the green card he is holding. Whammy as Paul Revere: Whammy is riding on Fang, both having a colonial look to them. Whammy, carrying a lantern, shouts "One if by check! Two if by cash! The Whammies are coming to steal your stash! Hahahahahaha!!!" Whammy and Tammy on a picnic: The debut of Tammy Whammette, Whammy's girlfriend. The couple is having a picnic, and love is in the air. At first, the lines were: Tammy: Isn't this romantic? Our first picnic. Whammy: A lovely day. A beautiful girl. And... In Spring of '85, it changed to: Tammy: Springtime is so romantic. Whammy: Spring. When a young Whammy's fancy turns to... In both occasions, Whammy opens the picnic basket to find Fang munching on the chicken. Whammy and Tammy shout "FANG!!" and cry their eyes out. Fang chasing cat: Fang's other major appearance. A cat is seen running across the screen, followed by Fang. Whammy is barely hanging on to Fang's tail and shouts "Hold it, Fang! Hold it! Don't forget the money!" Whammy Jackhammerer: Whammy, dressed as a construction worker and sporting a heart tattoo on his arm, jackhammers across the cash, shouting "Yes, yes, yes, hahahahahahaha!" Very dull. This Whammy also had several errors, such as appearing late. Whammy pilot: Whammy, flying a WWI biplane, laughs and shoots your score while taking a nose dive. As Whammy crashes, an invisible bomb near your score goes off. In an early outtake, Peter is heard saying "Duck! Better duck, Dave!" when this Whammy showed up. Oddly, this Whammy laughs exactly the same way as the Lawnmower Whammy. Whammy Movie Star: Whammy, sitting in a chair with his name on it, turns towards the screen and says "Now that I'm a star, I need makeup" He then shouts to someone offscreen "MAKEUP!!!" He gets a giant powderpuff in the face as a result. Whammy Pizza Guy: Whammy tosses a pizza high into the air and, in an Italian accent, says "We've got your cheese! Pepperoni! Tomato! Sau..." Before he completes the word "Sausage", the pizza splats onto his head. The music in the background changes to a weird tone, and Whammy sighs "How 'bout some spaghetti?" Whammy photographer: This Whammy has a very old camera, with cloth, birdie, and all. Underneath the cloth, Whammy says "I wanna get a picture of you losin' your money! Say cheese!" As the contestant occasionally smiled, Whammy takes the picture. However, the birdie had a little too much powder, causing the camera to explode. Indian Whammy: This Whammy, looking like an Indian and in a canoe, paddles across some water, shouting "Money money ay-yi-yi-yi! Money Money ooooh nooo..." As he says "Oh no" the canoe springs a leak and sinks. |
