The Emerald Empire Junior Arabian Horse Club has enjoyed much sucess throughout the years when competing at the U.S. National Arabian Horse Show's judging contest!

The team in this picture was our 1994 Youth team show with a top-ten ribbon, which was earned by Alyce Rohrer of Priest River Idaho. Also pictured are Josh Fedora, Annie Love and Sissy Crane.

Throughout the years our club's Youth Co ordinator, Barbara Tibbs, has coached many teams to National success in the Junior IAHA division. One year the Emerald Empire club even had the individual IAHA National Champion judge, Samantha Bell, of Sandpoint Idaho. Her team was was also ranked among the top three in the entire contest. Additionally, members of the Emerald Empire Junior Arabian Horse Club have won numerous top-ten honors as a team and as individuals.
Each year, the active youth of the Emerald Empire Club put together fund-raisers to enable us to travel to the Nationals. Last year, we put on an open two-day horse show. This year, we are also putting on a show, but because there is such an abundance of interest in the judging team just a horse show will not make us as much money as we will need to send the two teams. Instead of just a horse show, the club will be conducting a silent auction on a yearling half-arabian buckskin filly (donated to our club by Monty Collison of Northwest Showcase), putting together a carwash, a playday, a clinic with Mr. Larry Lewis Jr. who so generously donates all the profeits to our club, a slave auction and a silent auction at our fair. As you can see our club is very active in the community and we are always promoting the Arabian which we all share a love for.
