playstation 1 emulators

[AdriPSX ILE]

DOS / Win :: A well featured PSX emulator. One of the most-used, and most-updated. It's compatibility list is high, and the speed is good.

[Bleem!]

Win9x :: One of the earliest and best emulators for the PSX. But unfortunately, Bleem, has gone out of business.

[ePSXe]

Win :: The best things in life are FREE!! This is the emu that I use in my PC. And I think you'll like it too, since its the best FREEWARE emu around. ePSXe takes advantage of the PSEmu Pro plugin system. A PSX bios image is also needed to use it.

[PCSX]

Win9x :: Another great PSX emu, has high compatibility and full plugin support. The makers of PCSX are also developing the first (I think) PS2 emu! It'll definitely be a long process... so try this one first.

[PSEmu / PSEmu PRO]

DOS / Win9x :: This is the one that started the plugin support that has been the standard for many modern PSX emus. Though they already discontinued the development, you can still download the last version.

[Virtual Game Station]

Win9x :: I used this emulator before switching to ePSXe. I actually finished a LOT of RPG games with VGS. Its problem is the lack of many features of most modern PSX emulators, such as advanced 3d rendering. After Sony purchased Connectix, this emulator was discontinued.
