~FAITHSOAPERS TIPS~

COLD PROCESS CROCKPOT SOAP
CPCPS

Items Needed
Usual long spoon, gloves and eye protection
Cold Process batch of soap
Crockpot with medium setting & lid

To make CPCPS set crockpot to medium setting and let it warm for a few minutes. Make a batch of cold process soap and bring it to trace. Pour traced soap into already warmed crockpot. Put on the lid and set your kitchen timer to 30 minutes, although you might want to check it earlier due to different temps for each crockpot.. What will *normally happen is your soap will start going through the  'gel' stage at about 30 minutes. When this has happened add your *coloring and fragrance or essential oils. Mix well but quickly (your soap will start hardening) and glop, it into your molds. After you have glopped what you consider is enough, tap your soap down in your molds to get ride of bubbles and air pockets. You will need to be fairly forceful when doing this, or your soap will look odd. Sit molds someplace out of the way and unmold and cut when cool. This soap is now ready to use immediately!  Enjoy and have fun!

*The reason I say 'normally' is because with Castile soap the
'gel' stage did not happen to me. It became more like a paste.
This may or may not happen to you.

*For this type of soap, I have found that a watery or watered
down liquid coloring works far better then thicker ones.
