Topics and Discussion: What is a sample schedule for a day in each stage of the disease? How can you set up your own schedule? How can you task out the daily household and caregiving jobs and assign tasks to other family members or professional care providers. Look at the traffic flow in the house and move obstacles. How can you evaluate their mobility now and assess and plan for how it will change in the other stages. How can you make sure that you the caregiver has daily contact with someone outside? What are some activities that caregiver & loved one can do together in each stage of the illness? What are some exercises that you both can do at home and how? What are some easy, healthy menu ideas and shopping lists? What can a man do who finds himself suddenly a caregiver and homemaker for the first time? |
