COMING SOON (well, eventually....) to the DOCTOR WHO FUN PAGE! |

2/18/05: Still looking for a decent free host where we can stick 126 or more pages of comic art! We've got an Introduction page you can take a peek at now, though! There are a couple of examples of the art there. Come have a look, and if you've got any comments or suggestions, we'd love to hear 'em! Click on the introduction animation just above to go to the Intro page! 3/22/05: Well, we've just got our hands on Paint Shop Pro 7 thanks to a very generous friend, and we bet this will help our cause a lot! We're playing with it to learn how the program has changed, which will probably result in several new graphics around the site (as you may have noticed if you've ever been to this page before, especially!). 8/13/05: We've got about twenty pages of the comic art sort of web-ready now. we say "sort of", because the early pages are drawn very light & sketchy & they are still hard to see. We are replacing nearly all the lettering in the word balloons with good, bold Comic Sans font though, so the jokes should be very legible. The art does get more assured later on. 2/28/06: Yup, still working on it now & then--and just made a very important discovery in a book titled WEBCOMICS, by Steven Withrow &John Barber. It shows examples of the work of many webcomics creators & has nice workshops after each example. From this I've learned a way to make my old sketch art into real webcomics! So when it goes up, you won't have to squint at it! And most of the original crazy energy of the art is being preserved! 4/18/06: Posting a few of the first pages at our personal page at the WHOVILLE USA Frappr Map. See the link up above at the top on the left! Go have a look around, search in the list on the right side of the main page for yours truly, WHATSIT! Click on me, and I'll give you a yell from the map! You'll see a "Home" icon there--click on that, and you'll be in my hangout! Nice place, with a Blog, a Gallery, and stuff. If you come by, leave a quick "Howdy" in the Guestbook so we know you came by to see the opening pages of the comic, huh? |
This isn't quite WHO stuff, but you might like to check it out. Sir Oscar keeps Baybun in line here at the Fantasy Carousel, but he's also a bear with a serious mission. Head out through his back hallway into the gardens to see what I mean. Some folks who are WHO fans support his quest, I'd imagine. |
THE WACKY WEB POLL! Come let us annoy you with stupid questions like those survey people at the mall! |
Hey, look who dropped in! I wonder which of him it is? Point your cursor at the TARDIS and find out! |

I've been a BAAAAAAAD Fun Page host. I ignored you all for a whole year. I'm sorry. As you might notice, I've sorta been assimilated by Gaia Online. It's a way fun place to hang out, and they have a really good Doctor Who Guild too! There are members from all over the US, Canada, Australia and of course the UK there! If you're in Gaia, be sure and go check it out! Wow, we're really getting the Who in the US now! The Sci-Fi Channel started showing Series Four only a couple of weeks after the first episode showed in the UK! So we're REALLY current now! It's in the usual Friday night slot, and now its preceded by two half-hour episodes of the spinoff show "The Sarah Jane Adventures", which is a little more geared towards kids, but NOT kiddy stuff! Check it out! And the other spinoff, "Torchwood" (which is a darker show than Who) is on Saturday nights. So Who fans are really set up good now! Another good piece of news is that Series One is now available to PBS! We know because it's airing on North Carolina PBS right now...and they get UNCUT episodes with a fifteen-minute filler of Doctor Who Confidentials! So go bug your PBS stations to get it! |
