Updates 2
1-8-02: Finally, there is new stuff to report. The band is putting the final touches on The Amalgamut and it looks as if it will be released in March of 2002. About time! However, word is that this is Filter's best work ever. It has songs for every fan, ranging from "Take a Picture"-eque songs to those closer to the heavy sound of "Hey Man, Nice Shot." The songs to appear on the new cd, in no particular order, are:
     "You Walk Away"
     "The American Cliche"
     "Columind"
"Where Do We Go From Here"
     "So I Quit"
     "It Feels Like That"
"You're With Me and Against Me"
     "My Long Walk to Jail"
     "The Missing"
     "God Damn Me"
     "I Like the World Today"
Damn! Waiting for this album makes me feel like a kid at Christmas! No exact date, but it will be in March! Woohoo! Keep checking for the lastest updates! (A huge thank you to
www.officialfilter.com for the above info!)

2-1-02: It is finally February. Although the exact date of release is not known, it has been confirmed that
The Amalgamut will be released in March. Just a little longer, patience!

3-20-02: Well, again, the cd release date has been put off, but it now has been PROMISED that
The Amalgamut will be coming out in July, and the first single, "So I Quit," in June. The full version of the single will be posted in the official Filter website in few weeks. From what I hear, it has a punk rock sound, similar to songs you'd find on Shortbus. I think we're all ready for some new work from Filter; so just hang in a few more months and it will be here before you know it. Adios!

4-1-02: The
Official Filter Site has promised that the first single, "So I Quit," will be posted on their site.. However, this was a month ago. Still, I wait...and wait... Changed the site a tad though! Enjoy!

5-15-02: Here's the big news. While its not completely related to FIlter, it has to do with this site. Thanks to a good frind of mine, we have teamed up and decided to do a major overhaul on this site. As much as I like it, I realize that is isnt flashy enough and effects arent something Geocities is great at providing. There for, this site, and everything on it is being shifted to
filterishere.musicdot.com. Right now, all that is there is an awesome video we made (he did most of it actually). Check it out, though and soon, there will be alot more. However, I will leave this site up for a while, until everything has settled and there is a link to put you directly at the new site.
PS If you have a look at the video, it will take a while to load. It is a Flash movie, so be patient. I promise, it does work.

6-27-02: Sorry I haven't changed the site recently. Im enjoying summer and hating work. Anyway, heres the word. There was a great overhaul planned and part of the new site was built. Turns out the server we were working off of had not only a virus, but recently shut down, erasing the video we had worked so hard on and our dream to advance the Filter cause. However, on a better note, I have a direct link to the new video. It is in the video section. Go watch it; its a very good video and only makes me more excited for the new release. You can preorder the cd by clicking on this link:
Pre-Order Amalgamut. Enjoy!

7-7-02: First of all, Happy Independence Day all! Being the Filter fanatic, freedom-loving, flag waving, Jack in the Box eating, Pledge of Alleigence-saying (yes, the WHOLE thing) American I am, needless to say I celebrated it with a lot of explosions and noises. Luckily, this year, there was a little Filter in the background. I have hear the first two songs put out, "Where Do We..." and a new song, "So I Quit." The latter is very good, but had some profanity I'm not used to. Later, I find that the cd will have a "Parental Advisory" sticker on it. Now, I think those stickers, or any form of ratings, are pointless and should be ditched. However, this did make me curious none the less. Filter hadn't done this before. Really, though, it isn't such a shock in hind sight because of two things: 1) Richard has muttered profanity in past songs and 2) the words are said with raw emotion and add to the songs. Overall, they matter little to me. If you want to hear, "So I Quit" (the clean version), click
here. It in the list on the page. (Note: You will need to sign up for a Launch account if you don't have one, but its simple to do and it's for Filter. A small price to pay.) Enjoy! Just 23 days left!

7-12-02: Not much to say. Thanks Philadephia Cream Cheese, and I guess that does it. 18 days left!

7-30-02: It here...
