Over the last year Carla has grown in stature as a great fielder of the ball, an accurate passer of the ball and a reliable point taker. Carla can kick the ball over from anywhere on the field and is cool under pressure. An unselfish player who will punish teams the with her points.
Maggie Ann returned to the Fr Rocks fold last year to good effect. She works hard on and off the ball, always positioning herself well in preparation to recieve ball and convert scores. She has proved herself at going forward and splitting the posts.
A very skillfull player who enjoys her football. Mairead reads the game well and provides opposing defenses problems, with her speed, and intelligent play. Unfortunately dogged by injury last year lets hope its an injury free year in 2002.
Again another young player with an ambundance of skill and talent. Her speed and natural ability on the ball have proved problematic for opposing defences. As the game goes on Una grows in confidence and once she starts splitting the posts she won't stop.
A player of great natural ability, her speed, accuracy and positioning are frightening. Neillie is a player who has a genuine love for the game and it shows in every match. She is the main goal and point scorer of the team and for a young player her cool temperment simply adds to her all round ability. She is reliable, dedicated and a tireless worker.
Joanne is another player who's accuracy in front of the posts is great. An great fielder of the ball, she has the ability to lose her defender, fight off another and still put the ball over the bar, or more often than not, in the back of the net.
Another older member of the team, Briege is a player dedicated to the game. Seems to take training as seriously as the games. She has a good left foot, works hard and is commited to the team.
A young but longstanding player on the team. Charlene is a versatile player who mainly battles it out in defence always showing drive and enthusiam. A player who is not scared to get stuck in and help the team.
The youngest on the team, Marie Ann works hard and shows great determination. She had her first taste of senior football last year and long shall it continue.
A new player to the club, Nikki has already made an impression at training. A consistently hardworker who is accurate in front of the posts. |
