Every team needs to have confidence in the last line of defence and no one comes more reliable than Chicken.  A proven shot-stopper and subsequently match winner its hard to believe a player so young can have such a presence between the posts.

A tireless worker, Joanne does the job with very little fuss, she has an intelligent view of the game, reading the opposition to make vital interceptions and she always provides good link up play with midfield..  Last years captain will always scrape the barrel for that last ounce of energy to see us through to the final whistle.

A determined player who always gives a gritty preformance.  Julie needs no incentive to get stuck in, she is easily motivated and knows most referee's notebooks very well.  With a firey temperment, and dodgy knees she will pull out all the stops in defence.

An excellent fielder of the ball, Sinead has the added height and athleticism to intercept balls and provides quality distribution.  When Sinead gets the ball
she is always able to get past the opposition, move up the field and turn
defence into attack.

One of the main stalwarts of the team, Michelle is an experienced defender who always gives it her all.  Like all of our defence she is good at reading the play and intercepting balls.  Although Michelle complains about her age there is still plenty of life left in the old dog yet.

Martina is a naturally gifted player with a sweet left foot.  She has the ability
to give accurate passes from defence and given the opportunity can put points
on the board for us.  Her versatility and athleticism adds to the dimensions of the team and her speed up the left wing is worth watching

Karla is an experienced back whose speed and agility make her tough opposition for any forward.  She reads the game well and always manages to cover a lot of ground.  A good one to one marker who can build attacks from
the back line.

For such a young player Claire has proven herself as a dediciated member of the senior team.  She has great ability in the air and easily side-steps her opponents, starting an attacking move from the heart of the defence.

Every teams needs an engine and thats exactly what Siobhan provides, an endless amount of running in midfield.  She is fearless in the tackle and unstoppable (unless fouled) at going forward.  With a never ending amount of energy and a never give up attitude she is the Miss Reliable of the team.

Una is a vastly experienced player, again always covering a huge amount of ground at midfield.  A very unselfish player, she sets up attacks and intelligently provides accurate passes to the forward line although Una has been known for going solo and adding her mark on the scoreboard too.

Chinky provides speed and accuracy to the forward line.  Her delivery of the ball is almost as good as her delivery of one-liners.  Chinky reads the game
well and her link up play with Nellie last year was particularly impressive.
