(computer screen, that is) ![]() Who exactly is Frances Norma Tamargo? A girl. Born a Scorpio on November 6, 1984, I'm a vicious little thing. Born in Stockton, CA, I have lived here, unfortunately, all my life. I hate it here. My grandmother was the first to come here. When my mother was about 20 years old, she and her brothers came here to join my grandmother, who by that time, had re-married a man named Norman Womack. My background consists of Filipina with a dash of Castillan Spanish and Scottish, both from my mother's side. My father is 100% Filipino. He and my mother both met a year after my mother came here to the states. They met at Black Angus on the fourth of July and ran away to Reno, Nevada, eloping on July 23, 1983. A year later, out popped Frannie Pooh. Yes, I thank God everyday for letting my father get drunk that July evening he took off for Reno with my mother. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here :-D Let's start at the beginning shall we? I went to a Christian school my entire life. Pre-school through high school, I was entrapped in this white-dominating environment. I was a very shy, quiet kid, growing up. My kindergarten teacher didn't think I'd make it to the first grade. Luckily, I did get through it. It wasn't till the first grade that I finally opened up a bit. I was still shy. However, I was known to be the 'good kid.' I never got in trouble, I did all my work, I was the nice one. Too nice. Even that trait dragged onto middle school. Middle school was fun. I had big (no, HUGE) hair, glasses, and bushy eye brows. Who's supposed to care about anything at 13 anyway? I sure didn't. I just wanted to get to high school already. Although opening up more in middle school, I was still quite apprehensive. Not exactly an outcast, just this shy girl, who was friends with everyone. I went to a small school, so it was easy to make friends with everyone. It wasn't until high school that I learned that shy people were 'selfish.' High school was definitely an adventure for me. I was a cheerleader, a golf player, the editor-in-chief of yearbook and journalism, a teacher as well as a student. I was involved with many clubs, and often founf myself busy doing something in the school. I was neither a nerd nor a 'popular cat.' "Popular never was and never will be a part of my vocabulary. *See my Memoirs for me in depth thoughts* I stood up for the "nerds" and hung out with everyone. I didn't believe in 'cliques' and whatnot. I was my own person; I was Fran. Come to think of it...I know no other Fran. Just me. :-D Although high school was fun, my first year of college was definitely the most interesting adventure I have taken thus far. |
